Philosophy
Whether it be medicine or dentistry the main aim today is to prevent disease in the first place. There are a plethora of advanced treatments to restore destroyed or missing teeth and treat gum disease but our primary aim will always be to help people understand the causes and provide advice and materials to prevent problems arising at all. Putting prevention into practice.
Minimal Intervention
The days of drill and fill are long since gone. Good evidence has shown that less is definitely more and that minimal repair rather than replacement is much more successful in preserving teeth for life. Where more extensive treatment is required, modern materials and ceramics are excellent at preserving tooth structure.
Cosmetic Dentistry
Having pioneered the use of ceramic veneers and founded and run Chelsea Harbour Dental Practice with a special emphasis on cosmetic dentistry, Mr Graves has produced and fitted many thousands of veneers and crowns. Modern materials now give methods to achieve similar results with less or no invasive tooth removal, using bleaching, minimal orthodontics and bonding and where necessary modern ceramics.
